Food Bank

Pershore Food Bank
We see it around us and there are statistics which prove that some of our neighbours in Pershore struggle to make ends meet, sometimes having to choose between food and warmth.

How can we help?

Churches Together in Pershore have united with other organisations, shops, schools, and individuals in the town to provide food aid for families and indivuduals in crisis.

In November 2013, a group of clergy and laity from the Baptist, Anglican and Roman Catholic churches met to discuss the opportunity and agreed to act and sought advice from The Trussell Trust who had already helped the city of Worcester to set up a successful Food Bank.

Pershore Foodbank went live on the 20 May and has begun to serve families and individuals who, for various reasons, have found themselves in crisis. Foodbank responds to agency referral vouchers and provides nutritional, non perishable food stuffs along with other essential items. We  also sign post to further support.
